Aramis Rugby will be the new Training equipment and Scrum machine Partner for Italian Rugby Federation thanks to a five-year partnership announced today between the France Rugby World Cup Official Partner, Aramis Rugby and Federazione Italiana Rugby.
In addition to National Mens XV team Azzurri, Aramis Rugby will also be the Official & Exclusive supplier to Italy A, Italy U-20, Italy Womens XV and Italy Mens & Womens 7s teams.
Aramis Rugby’s CEO Vikas Mahajan says: “We are pleased to partner with Italy, one of the heavyweights in European Rugby, and assist them with their training equipment needs and create bespoke digital scrum machines that will analyse individual player performance. This deal marks our entry into the Six Nations on the heels of being Official providers to the RWC 2023 France and also to Samoa national team. With the strong performance of Italy in the recent Internationals, it is great to be able to continue assisting them with cutting-edge innovative training aids for the next five years. We are honoured to have been chosen by the Italian Rugby Federation and this is a significant contract for Aramis Rugby”.
Following recent wins over Wales & Australia, the Azzurri will be looking forward to carrying their winning streak into the Six Nations. This year’s Six Nations will also serve as a prelude to the upcoming Rugby World Cup in France in the autumn where Aramis Rugby will be providing all 20 participating nations with innovative scrum machines and training equipment. Italy could have a distinct advantage by already having trained on that cutting-edge equipment thanks to this deal with Aramis.
Italian ‘grassroots’ rugby clubs also look set to benefit from this deal as they will get, at preferential rates, access to same equipment as used in the world cup. By encompassing the Women’s national teams into the deal, FIR is hoping to bring benefit to Italian Rugby at all levels.
