Working with a series of partners and the Devon Work Hubs programme Torridge Council are exploring the potential for a series of flexible work hubs across the District, initially looking at Bideford, Great Torrington and Winkleigh. These would potentially open during 2021, offering vibrant spaces to work as well as bookable meeting rooms, training opportunities, business support and even access to funding.
To make sure Torridge get the planning right, they would love to hear your thoughts!
However, the window for the Council to submit their ideas is short, between now and 2nd November, and there’s a need to move fast on this – so the Council would like people to take part in a short survey for each location and help shape the proposals.
Councillor Bob Hicks – Lead Member for the Economy said: “The focus for these projects is supporting people who are currently working from home or who plan to do so in the future. It’s about helping them to be part of something more- be it enjoying spending time (in a safe manner, of course) with other people, looking for collaborations, high quality meeting or training facilities, or even just getting away from their home or normal set-up into an environment that will hopefully help them thrive and be more productive”
The surveys can be found on the consultation tab on the front page of the Torridge Website – https://www.torridge.gov.uk/Consultations
