So much of modern work is now done on personal computers, smartphones and tablets, and while we embrace the advances in technology and the ease with which tasks can be completed, it’s easy to forget that technology brings its own risks too.
Research from FSB shows that a staggering seven million cybercrimes are committed against smaller businesses in the UK every year – that’s 19,000 a day. On average, a cybercrime incident costs a small business victim almost £3,000 in damages, and it can take over two days for the business to be back up and running.
Come along to our networking session at The Burton at Bideford Art Gallery on 17th April and our special guest speaker, Sam Parsons the Cyber Protect, Prepare and Prevent Officer from Regional Cyber Crime Unit, is going to tell you how to prevent cyber crime from affecting your business. There will be plenty of helpful information and lots of time for questions and answers. You’ll also get to meet with like minded businesses to make great new contacts and connections. We’ll have a tour of the gallery before we move onto the networking part of the event.
The cost is £10 and includes a tasty lunch and refreshments and the event is open to FSB members and non-members.
