The All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group’s (APMG) Exporting After Brexit debate on Thursday March 9 is your chance to directly influence decision makers over policy as we leave the EU.
Top panellists will include Institute director general, Lesley Batchelor OBE, Ian Taylor, group head of supplier excellence at Meggit, Richard Corbett MEP, former advisor to Herman Van Rompuy, and William Butler-Adams OBE, chief executive of Brompton Bicycles.
Held at the Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, Houses of Parliament, from 10.00 – 11.30, the event will examine the effect of Brexit on British manufacturers in exporting, importing and cross-border supply chains.
Bringing together parliamentarians, international trade experts and exporters, it will specifically cover how the following issues affect manufacturers:
• The imposition of tariffs on trade
• Non-tariff benefits of EU membership
• Ongoing co-operation with the customs union
• Integrated cross-border supply chains
• Support for British exporters
• Free-trade agreements and the World Trade Organisation
The audience will be encouraged to participate by making their opinions known and asking the panel questions.
