Pathfield School
About
At Pathfield we aim to provide for the individual educational needs of all our pupils through a person centred approach. We value our relationship with parents and carers and our partnership work with all other agencies. Working together we strive to provide a full range of specialist facilities and opportunities to encourage your child to reach their full potential.
Pathfield School is a very welcoming environment with a happy and supportive ethos. Staff and students enjoy learning together and we look forward to meeting and working with new families.
Pathfield is a maintained school for 192 pupils aged between 3 and 19 years and is situated in Barnstaple, North Devon. We cater at an individual level, for pupils with profound or severe learning difficulties and for pupils on the autistic spectrum. We also have a discrete secondary provision ‘Pathways’ for students with social and emotional needs related to high anxiety.
Pathfield School values joint working and promotes collaboration with services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, health and social care. Alongside this we offer an Arts Therapy service from Chroma Therapies as part of our commitment to wellbeing.
We aim to forge strong links with our families, parents, carers and the local community. Developing strong partnerships with all stakeholders is fundamental to our ethos and we work closely with the school governors, Parents Teachers and Friends Association, local schools and the SENtient trust.
