Best practice visit successes

Since the return of in-person events, NDMA members have enjoyed three well-attended factory visits

TDK Lambda in Ilfracombe, Perrigo in Braunton and Parker Hannifin in Barnstaple have so far opened their doors to groups for some fascinating insights and inspiring site tours.

Sharing best practice in Lean operations and efficient processes, safety, sustainability, staff morale and quality management, each visit has been a unique opportunity to learn from a different industry.

NDMA Vice Chair, Paul Mullen said; “It’s fascinating to see innovations in automation machinery and processes in completely different industrial environments. On one hand they’re worlds apart and on the other, there are a lot of similarities. It shows how much we have to learn from each other”

Due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and the safety procedures that remained in place at many facilities, well into 2022, site visits have not been possible. Their return has been welcomed by members with much enthusiasm.

Paul continued; “I’d like to thank Perrigo, Parker and TDK for hosting us so generously on the visits so far, and I’m looking forward to the future visits that we are working on.

The next visit will be hosted by Bott in Bude. To see all upcoming events and register, go to the NDMA Events page HERE
