Aston Lark, the Chartered insurance broker backed by Goldman Sachs, has today announced the appointment of Robin Glover as an Account Executive to work as part of the Commercial team within the Barnstaple office.
Robin joined the company on 1 June, replacing one of the Senior Account Executives, Richard Brain, who left after a 55-year career in the industry. As well as looking after many of Richard’s clients, Robin has the task of helping Aston Lark further grow the business across the whole of Devon and beyond.
With extensive experience in the commercial insurance sector, Robin commenced his career in 1998 working for Grenville Insurance Brokers Ltd, with his father as Managing Director. This business was acquired by Towergate in 2012 and Robin continued to build strong relationships as a Senior Account Executive. With such a diversified business sector in North Devon, Robin is used to meeting the insurance needs of a wide variety of business risks.
Bruce Archibold, Aston Lark Associate Director, said: “We are delighted that Robin has joined us in the Barnstaple office, working with Sarah Page and the wider Commercial team. He is extremely well known in the Northern Devon area for the way he looks after his clients. Robin shares the same passion for customer service that we do. With his wealth of experience and knowledge of the local market, we feel confident he will assist us in continuing to grow this office and we wish him every success in his new role.”
Robin added: “I am delighted to have this great opportunity to join Aston Lark. Having worked in the insurance industry for over twenty years in North Devon, I am looking forward to working with the team to introduce their insurance and employee benefits proposition to clients throughout the region. In this climate, it is more important than ever for businesses to focus on their growth and receive comprehensive service and support from their insurance broker. With Aston Lark I can provide this, and I look forward to speaking with business owners and managers to introduce them to the broad range of products we can offer.”
Robin is available to speak with any of the Association members, should they require any assistance with their insurance requirements. In these difficult times, with insurers predicting hard markets and premium increases likely to be imposed on the commercial sector it is very important that our members engage early with their insurance advisors.
